I made this for a Kayak Competition. There was a new kayak that could have prints done for the bottom, kind of like a skateboard. I did this with the idea of looking at the board from the bottom. Surprizingly I didnt even get an honorable mention. All of the winners and dozens of honorable mentions were much mor extreme in nature. I realized after that I may have gauged the competition wrong. I personally love to ride kayaks out on a quiet lake to meditate and find peace. However the competition was geared toward those who ride the rapids and enjoy the extreme lifestyle.

It wasnt an easy painting to figure out, especially on the bottom of the board. The concept was morning noon and night from the bottom. So on the front in the morning, the middle is high noon, and the end is night.
